Former University of Alabama men’s and women’s soccer coach Don Staley is among three who will be inducted into the Radford Athletics Hall of Fame in October. The other 2017 class members include Chris Oliver (men’s basketball) and Tiffany Evans (track and field).
Staley helped to build Radford’s men’s and women’s soccer programs from 1985-93. During his tenure, he coached two All-Americans, a men’s U.S. Olympic Team member and a women’s Hermann Trophy finalist.
Staley then went on to become head coach of the women’s team at Alabama from 1994-2007. There, he compiled a program-record of 135 victories.
The three-member class is the 16th to be inducted into the Radford Athletics Hall of Fame. The ceremony will be inside Kyle Hall at Radford University College of Business and Economics on Oct. 6.
