NORMAN, Okla. – A second-straight 3-under par day on Sunday has given the Alabama women’s golf team the lead entering the third round in the Schooner Fall Classic at the par-71, 6,046-yard Belmar Golf Club in Norman, Okla.
Sophomore Kristen Gillman (68-68/136) turned in another 3-under par round on Sunday to take the overall lead entering Monday’s final round at 6-under par. Junior Alabama Surges to the Lead at the Schooner Fall Classic (69-68/137) also shot 3-under par in the second round and is one shot behind Gillman at 5-under par. Junior Alabama Surges to the Lead at the Schooner Fall Classic (71-73/144) shot a two over-par 73 and is tied for 23rd.
Senior Lakareber Abe (73-72/145) finished at 1-over par on the day and is tied for31st. Freshman Angelica Moresco (75-76/151) finished at 5-over par and is tied for 61st.
Alabama (281-281/562) tops the team leaderboard 6-under par after back-to-back 3-under par rounds. Texas A&M (278-292/570) and Florida (284-286/570) are eight shots back at 2-over par. Clemson (285-286/571) is fourth at 3-over par, followed by host Oklahoma (277-295/572) in fifth at 4-over par.
