NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Alabama sophomore Zhe Zhou and freshman Sam Fischer completed the final day of the Commodore Scramble on Sunday in Nashville, Tenn. The two won their final doubles match of the tournament and fell in the last round of singles play.
In doubles, Fischer/Zhou defeated Tate Allwardt/Alex Ross of Vanderbilt, 6-4.
In singles play, Alex Ross of Vanderbilt pushed past Fischer, 6-3, 6-1, while Cameron Green of Furman edged Zhou, 6-3, 6-3.
Alabama men’s tennis will return to action on Friday, Oct. 7 with sophomores Alexey Nesterov and No. 72 Thibault Cancel competing in the USTA 25k Future tournament in Houston, Texas.
