CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — Alabama rowing opened its fall season on Saturday with four event wins at the Chattanooga Head Race, finishing with seven top-three finishes in its opening race of the fall season.

The Crimson Tide swept the top three spots in the Women’s Collegiate 8+, leading the field with times of 16:39.9, 17:14.7 and 17:19.3, respectively. Alabama’s fourth entry in the race finished fifth with a time of 17:55.5.

Alabama won the Women’s Novice 4+, finishing in 19:31.9, besting the second-place boat by over two minutes. The Tide took the top two spots in the Collegiate 4+, crossing the line in 17:54.8 and 18:58.7, respectively. Alabama’s six boats in the race all finished in the top 10, including five of the top six spots.

The Tide wrapped up the day with a win in the Novice 8+ with a time of 18:57.6.
