WILMINGTON, N.C. – The Alabama women’s golf team finished second at The Landfall Tradition after heavy rain on Sunday morning forced the cancellation of the tournament’s final round at the par-72, 6,166-yard Pete Dye Course at the Country Club of Landfall in Wilmington, N.C.
At 13-under par in two rounds, Alabama (278-286/563) finished in second place, one shot behind tournament champion Duke (277-285/562), which finished at 14-under par. Michigan State (282-292/574) finished third at 2-under par.
The Landfall Tradition wraps up the fall portion of Alabama’s schedule. The Tide posted four top-two finishes in its four tournaments, including a victory at the Schooner Fall Classic. As a team, UA shot a combined 99-under par in its four fall outings.
Alabama will open the spring portion of its schedule at the Northrop-Grumman Regional Challenge, Feb. 11-13, at the Palos Verdes Golf Club in Palos Verdes Estates, Calif.
