Alabama gymnastics coach Dana Duckworth announced the Crimson Tide’s newest fall 2018 signing class Monday. Asia DeWalt, Emily Gaskins, Griffin James and Shallon Olsen are the new members of the Crimson Tide gymnastics team.
“We are excited that these four young ladies have made the choice to attend The University of Alabama, not only as an Alabama gymnast but to strive academically and become extraordinary human beings during their collegiate career,” Duckworth said. “Each one of these women bring a different strength to our program from skill level, competitive experience, mental mindsets and personality.”
Dewalt is a native of Spring, Texas, and was the silver medalist at the 2017 Level 10 Texas State Championships.
Gaskins is from Coral Springs, Florida, and is a three-time member of the United State’s national gymnastics team.
A five-time Virginia state champion from Virginia Beach, James is a five-time Junior Olympic National Championship qualifier.
