The Golf Coaches of Association of America released its final Arnold Palmer Cup Rankings for the fall season, rankings that will hold through the next couple of months until the spring college golf season starts, and the University of Alabama’s Lauren Stephenson is ranked No. 1.

She is joined in the top 25 by her Alabama teammates Kristen Gillman, who is ranked No. 5, and Cheyenne Knight, who is ranked No. 23.

The rankings will determine which players make the United States’ women’s team that will compete in the 2018 Arnold Palmer Cup which is being held July 6-8 at the Evian Resort Golf Club in Evian-les-Bains, France.

Gillman, Knight and Stephenson are also among 12 amateur golfers invited to participate in a two-day practice session for 2018 Curtis Cup. The practice session will take place Dec. 17-18 at Birmingham’s Shoal Creek Country Club. It is designed to evaluate potential members of the USA’s Curtis Cup team which will compete against Great Britain and Ireland in the 40th Curtis Cup Match June 8-10, 2018 at Quaker Ridge Golf Club in Scarsdale, N.Y.

In the World Amateur Golf Rankings, Stephenson is ranked No. 6, Knight No. 8 and Gillman No. 11.
