TUSCALOOSA – Alabama assistant women’s golf coach Susan Rosenstiel has been chosen as an assistant coach for the United States team that will compete in the 2018 Arnold Palmer Cup, the Golf Coaches Association of America announced Tuesday.
The 2018 Arnold Palmer Cup will take place July 6-8, 2018 at Evian Resort Golf Club in Evian-les-Bains, France. The 24-member U.S. team will include 12 men’s and women’s collegiate golfers and will face off with an international squad with a similar make-up. Rosenstiel is joined as a U.S. assistant coach by Baylor men’s assistant coach Ryan Blagg. Ohio State’s Therese Hession will serve as the team’s head coach.
Rosenstiel is in her 15th year with the Crimson Tide. The 2010 National Golf Coaches Association Assistant Coach of the Year, Rosenstiel has mentored players who have combined for 20 All-America honors and 28 All-SEC accolades. Her career at Alabama includes winning the 2012 NCAA Championship, 12 NCAA Championship appearances and three SEC Championship titles.
