The Alabama men’s track and field team has been picked for predicted a top-four finish at the 2018 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships by Track & Field News in the publication’s latest issue.

Florida, USC and Texas A&M are the top three picks, and Georgia rounds out the top-five in the championship forecast. The predictions take into account each team’s returnees and incoming recruiting class for the 2018 outdoor season to determine team scoring at the national meet. The 2018 NCAA Outdoor Championships will take place June 6-9 at the University of Oregon.

Individually, Tide junior Vincent Kiprop is the magazine’s early favorite to win the men’s 10,000 meters. Kiprop was named Southeastern Conference Men’s Runner of the Year honors after winning the individual title at the fall SEC Cross Country Championships in October.
