RIO GRANDE, Puerto Rico — Senior Lee Hodges carded a second round score of 3-under par 68 on Monday to move atop the leaderboard after two rounds of the Puerto Rico Classic with a 36-hole total of 7-under 135 (67-68). As a team, the top-ranked Alabama Crimson Tide will enter Tuesday’s final round in sixth place with a team total of 10-over par 578 (286-292).

Seventh-ranked Georgia Tech leads the 15-team field through 36 holes of play with a team score of 6-under par 562. Tournament host Purdue is in second and the only other team at below par entering the final round of play with a 1-under 567. Defending national champion and No. 8-ranked Oklahoma, No. 16 Clemson and No. 35 North Carolina State are all tied for third at 2-over par 570, eight strokes ahead of the Tide.

The Crimson Tide will tee off its third and final round with a shotgun start at 7:30 a.m. CT. Alabama will be paired alongside Clemson and North Carolina State.
