The Alabama softball team scored 11 total runs in five games last weekend, dropping three of five games at a tournament in Seattle.
The Crimson Tide’s losses came to No. 1 Washington – 8-0 and 4-1 – Northwestern, which bested UA by a 4-0 score. Seven of Alabama’s runs came in a come-from-behind, extra-inning victory over BYU, and the Crimson Tide defeated Portland State 3-0.
Lack of offense has been the common denominator in Alabama’s losses this season. UA (12-5) has been shut out in two defeats and scored just one run in the other three.
Alabama will host Boston College, Fordham and Samford this weekend in the Crimson Classic at Rhoads Stadium, playing Boston College at 4 p.m. Friday in its opener at the event.
