For the first time this season, the score that determines where Alabama gymnastics ranks is above a 197. The Crimson Tide, building off a season-high 197.525 last weekend, has a 197.005 Regional Qualifying Score and remains sixth in the nation for the second week in a row. RQS still determines all rankings.

Oklahoma (197.98), LSU (197.715) and UCLA (197.65) are the top three teams in order. Utah is fourth with a 197.415. Florida is right above Alabama in fifth with a 197.325.

The Crimson Tide is ranked in the top 10 on three events. It is tied for fourth on the balance beam (49.335), takes fifth on the uneven bars (49.355) and shares 10th on vault (49.17). Alabama’s 49.25 on the floor exercise puts it 12th.

Nickie Guerrero is the only UA gymnast individually within the top 10. The senior checks in at fourth on beam (9.92) and seventh on vault (9.905).

Up next, Alabama faces Auburn again. The in-state rivals met two weeks ago at Auburn, where Alabama won with a then-season-best 197.3. This time, the Crimson Tide and Tigers will compete on neutral grounds in their annual Elevate the State meet. It will be Friday in Huntsville at 7 p.m.
