SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS – The University Alabama track and field teams opened the 2018 outdoor season Friday at the UTSA Invitational in San Antonio, Texas.
Elliott Miller won the men’s 3,000-meter steeplechase in his collegiate debut in that event with a time of 9:53.89. Will Edwards finished fourth in javelin with a throw of 177-5.
Alabama’s Danielle McConnell won the women’s hammer throw, posting a mark of 192-1 on her second throw of the competition. Tianah List finished second in women’s javelin in her Alabama debut with a throw of 164-3.
