AUBURN – The Alabama women’s golf team clinched third place with a 10-under par final round on Tuesday in the Evans Derby Experience at the par-72, 6,280-yard Auburn University Club.
The Crimson Tide (288-284-278/850) finished at 14-under par after carding the second-lowest team round on Tuesday. Arkansas (280-279-277/836) won the tournament at 28-under par after an 11-under final round.
Junior Lauren Stephenson (69-73-67/209) was the low finisher for the Crimson Tide, posting her sixth top-three finish in seven tournaments this season with a 7-under performance. Freshman Angelica Moresco (72-70-70/212) tied for ninth place at 4-under for a new career-low score.
Sophomore Kristen Gillman (74-69-71/214) tied for 17th at 2-under. Junior Cheyenne Knight (73-72-70/215) tied for 23rd at 1-under while senior Lakareber Abe (74-74-72/220) tied for 34th at 4-over.
Alabama will return to action April 13-15 in the Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic at the University of Georgia Golf Club in Athens, Georgia.
