The University of Alabama rowing team’s senior, Nicole Lane, has been selected to the 2018 Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association All-Conference team and is one of 11 Alabama rowing team members named to the CRCA Scholar-Athlete list.
The 11 award winners on this year’s list places Alabama in a tie for most of any Big 12 program—Alabama competes in the Big 12 in rowing since the SEC does not sponsor rowing–and third among all NCAA Division-I programs.
Alabama’s honorees include Charlotte Adkins, Tayla Cabana, Makena Clark, Raien Emery, Danielle Kem, Nicole Lane, Anne Lehmann, Monica McGraw, Emily Navin, Rachel Sowell and Lindsey Taylor.
Lane is now eligible for the All-American team which will be announced later this month. The All-Conference team replaces the previous All-Region award given by the CRCA, which Lane won last season.
