Alabama sophomore Wilson Furr won the Mississippi State Amateur Golf Tournament by 11 strokes Sunday, shooting a four-day total of 12-under-par 272. He was the only player in the event’s 102-player field to shoot all four rounds in the 60s.

Furr also won the state amateur in 2015, when he became the tournament’s youngest-ever champion at age 16.

The victory earns Furr an exemption into the PGA Tour’s Sanderson Farms Championship in October, which will be held at his home course, The Country Club of Jackson.

“I’ve had this tournament marked on my schedule for a long time, especially because of the PGA Tour exemption,” Furr said. “The fact that I am playing on my home course in front of all my friends and family is a dream come true.”
