FORT WORTH, Texas — Rising Alabama senior Andie Daniell fell in a back-and-forth three-set match in the qualifier final of the $25k Fort Worth Pro Tennis Classic against No. 2 seed Alexa Ryngler (USA), 6-3, 1-6, 4-6, on Tuesday in Fort Worth, Texas.

After splitting the first two sets, Daniell went up 4-2 in the final set before Ryngler won four-straight games to take the match. Ryngler is ranked No. 897 in the Women’s Tennis Association rankings and was the No. 2 seed in the qualifying tournament.

Before Daniell fell in the finals, the Douglasville, Ga., native bested Alexandra Osborne (Arizona State), 6-3, 6-0, and shut out Daria Tomashevskaya (CAN), 6-0, 6-0.
