PEBBLE BEACH, Calif. – Alabama men’s golfers Davis Riley and Davis Shore will open play Monday at the 2018 United States Amateur Championship, co-hosted at Pebble Beach Golf Links and Spyglass Hill Golf Course.
Each of the more than 300 competitors will play one round on Pebble Beach Golf Links (7,040 yards/Par 71) and one round on Spyglass Hill Golf Course (6,993 yards/Par 72), vying to be one of the low 64 scorers to advance to match play.
“I’m excited for both Davis Riley and Davis Shore,” Alabama head coach Jay Seawell said. “They will be playing at some iconic venues and it should be an incredible experience for both of them. Both players have had terrific summers and have been playing well coming into the U.S. Amateur. Both have a chance to do something special this week.”
