PEBBLE BEACH, Calif. – Alabama men’s golfer Davis Riley finished stroke play tied for 25th overall with a 36-hole total of 1-over par 144 (74-70) at the 2018 United States Amateur Championship. As a result, the Crimson Tide senior is one of 64 golfers to advance to the match play portion of the event, which begins on Wednesday.
Fellow Alabama golfer Davis Shore also competed at this year’s event, but fell short of reaching match play. Shore, a rising sophomore, tied for 119th overall in the 312-man field with a two-day total of seven-over par 150 (74-76).
