LAKE ELMO, Minn. – After finishing the suspended first round at 4-under par early Tuesday, Alabama turned in a 13-under par second round Tuesday afternoon to move into second place at the ANNIKA Intercollegiate at the par-72, 6,267-yard Royal Golf Club in Lake Elmo, Minn.

Junior Kenzie Wright (67-67/134) continued her hot start with a second straight 5-under round and is one shot off the individual lead at 10-under. The SMU transfer, who is playing in her first tournament with the Crimson Tide, has tied the school 36-hole scoring record with her two-round 134.

The top-ranked Crimson Tide (284-275/559) is 17-under par through two rounds and trails tournament leader Duke (279-278/557) by two shots heading into Wednesday’s final round.

UCLA (285-275/560) is in third at -16 while USC (282-279/561) is a shot back at 15-under. Texas (285-281/566) rounds out the top-five at 10-under.

Junior Jiwon Jeon (77-65/142) rebounded from a 5-over par opening round to fire a 7-under par 65 on Tuesday and is tied for 16th overall at 2-under. Senior Lauren Stephenson (71-72/143) is tied for 20th at 1-under. Junior Kristen Gillman (74-71/145) is tied for 29th at 1-over  while sophomore Angelica Moresco (72-74/146) is tied for 35th at 2-over.

Alabama will be paired with Duke and UCLA in Wednesday’s final round.
