Alabama softball outfielder Kaylee Tow has been suspended from the team, coach Patrick Murphy announced Tuesday.

“Due to a violation of team rules, Kaylee Tow will not play in any fall games and will not participate in any team activities for two weeks,” Murphy said in a statement.

The statement did not specify the nature of the rules violation nor indicate her status for the start of the 2019 season.

As a freshman, Tow earned second-team All-America and first-team All-SEC honors. The outfielder from Madisonville, Ky., batted .327 with 11 home runs. She drove in 31 runs.
