Alabama outfielder Keith Holcombe has been charged with driving under the influence.

Holcombe, 23, was booked into the Tuscaloosa County Jail at 3:56 a.m. on the misdemeanor charge.

Tuscaloosa Police have not yet released information about the arrest.

Baseball coach Brad Bohannon declined comment. The Alabama baseball team is in the middle of its fall practice this month.

Holcombe was a linebacker for the UA football team between 2014 and 2017. He graduated from UA with a degree in human performance exercise science in December of 2017 and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in sports management. The Tuscaloosa County native is a Hillcrest High School graduate.

He chose to focus on baseball this fall, forgoing his final season of eligibility in football.

As a junior in 2018, he was the Tide’s everyday left fielder for most of the season, playing in 47 games with 45 starts.
