AUSTIN, Texas – Alabama junior Kenzie Wright remains in contention for individual medalist honors after two rounds at the Betsy Rawls Longhorn Invitational. Wright (71-73/144) is five shots off the lead entering Sunday’s third round at the par-72, 6,491-yard University of Texas Golf Club.
Alabama (302-311/613) will begin the third round in seventh place at 37-over par. Host Texas (291-284/575) and Kent State (294-281/575) share the lead at -1, followed by Florida (295-291/586) at +10, Baylor (303-284/587) at +11, SMU (300-300/600) at+24, Texas Tech (306-296/602) at +26 and the Tide in the top seven.
Junior Jiwon Jeon (75-74/149) and sophomore Angelica Moresco (74-75/149) are tied for 19th at +5. Freshman Mary Mac Trammell (82-89/171) is 73rd at +27. Fellow freshman Carolina Caminoli (94-92/186) is 75th at +42.
Alabama will be paired with Texas A&M and Colorado in Sunday’s final round. Play is scheduled to begin at 8:45 a.m. CT.
