BIRMINGHAM – After winning two singles matches each on Saturday at the CCB Collegiate Invitational, the University of Alabama’s Edson Ortiz and Zhe Zhou will play in their respective men’s tennis singles draw finals on Sunday at 10:30 a.m. at the Country Club of Birmingham.
Zhou had wins Saturday against South Alabama and East Tennessee State. He’s play MTSU’s Stijn Slump in the White Draw final. Ortiz got wins Saturday against Kentucky and Tulane and will play ETSU’s Frazier Rengifo in the Crimson Draw final.
Sam Fischer will play Mieszko Kwasniewski of Southern Miss in consolation play.
Doubles play will start the day on Sunday at 9 a.m. with Ortiz/Zhou playing a Tulane duo.
