CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — Alabama rowing closed out its final weekend of the fall season with gold in the Women’s Open 8+ at the Head of the Hooch. Four crews rolled out and all four finished in the top-10.

Sunday’s race improves the Tide’s weekend total to nine top-10 finishes across four events.

Due to weather conditions, the Women’s Open 2- was cancelled, leaving the Women’s Open 8+ as the lone competing boat of the day for the Tide. Alabama’s gold-medal crew (6:35.373) finished five seconds ahead of second-place Wisconsin. The other three Tide crews rounded out the event in fifth (6:46.412), seventh (6:52.088) and eighth (6:53.748).

Alabama’s spring season starts March 2 when it hosts Eastern Michigan.
