In the track and field/cross country program, the Alabama men and women combined for 66 student-athletes with a 3.0-or-better GPA during the fall semester, including 26 who earned between a 3.5 and 3.9, gaining a place on the Dean’s List. Senior Alfred Chelanga was among those earning Dean’s List accolades the same semester he earned All-America honors at the NCAA Cross Country Championships.
Alabama also put 14 on the President’s List with a perfect 4.0 GPA, including freshman Rebecca Billman, sophomore Maddie Dearborn, freshman Ashton Domingue, sophomore Nickolette Dunbar, senior Connor Ferrentino, sophomore Nathan Gamble, senior Nicole Gardner, sophomore Shannon Marsh, sophomore Taylor Pickett, freshman Riley Schelp, senior Haley Teel, junior Avery Stuchell, freshman Riley White and sophomore Eliza Witherspoon.
Alabama started its indoor season Friday with a solid showing at the UAB Blazer Invitational at the Birmingham CrossPlex.
