MALIBU, Calif. — The No. 23-ranked Alabama men’s tennis team toppled Pepperdine, 4-0, on Sunday at the Ralphs-Straus Tennis Center. The Crimson Tide improves to 8-1 after its two-match swing in California.

Junior Alexey Nesterov started things off by dominating Scotland Garapedian, 6-2, 6-2. Junior Zhe Zhou cruised past Tim Zeitvogel, 6-2, 6-3, while No. 40 senior Mazen Osama took down Adrian Oetzbach, 7-5, 6-1. Sophomore Riccardo Roberto took care of Pawel Jankowiak, 6-1, 7-6(4), on court six to solidify the win.

The Tide will return to action at the Blue Gray National Tennis Classic in Montgomery, Ala., on Feb. 22-23.
