The Alabama men’s tennis team moved up seven spots to No. 16 in the latest Oracle/ITA National Team Rankings, the organization announced on Wednesday. Senior Mazen Osama jumped up eight spots to No. 32 in the Oracle/ITA Singles Rankings.
After a 2-0 outing two weeks ago in California, the Crimson Tide owns an 8-1 record. Alabama opened the season with a six-match win streak, before falling to Minnesota, 3-4, on Feb. 1. The Crimson Tide has silenced three opponents, including shutting out Pepperdine, 4-0, on the road on Feb. 10.
Osama and the Crimson Tide will return to the court this weekend at the 71st playing of the Blue Gray National Tennis Classic at the Lagoon Park and O’Connor Tennis Center in Montgomery.
