MOBILE – The Alabama men’s and women’s track and field teams opened the outdoor season with a dozen top-10 finishes, including a win in the women’s 800 meters in Mobile Friday at South Alabama’s Jaguar Opener.
Savannah Noethlich won the women’s 800 meters (2:22.34). In women’s 1,500 meters, Brittany Tolson, placed second (4:58.18) and Caroline Brooks fourth (4:46.69).
Former Crimson Tide All-American Alexis Paine won the women’s pole vault (12-11.50). Current Alabama jumpers Taylor Pickett was the top collegian with a 12-5.50 jump. Riley White and Abigail Dickinson were the next collegians, with clearances of 11-11.75. Eliza Witherspoon ran a 10:32.79 in the 3,000 meters.
