KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – The No. 20-ranked Alabama men’s tennis team came up short against No. 15 Tennessee, 4-1, on Sunday afternoon at the Goodfriend Tennis Center.
With the loss, the Crimson Tide moves to 13-8 overall and 3-6 against Southeastern Conference opponents, while the win improves the Volunteers to 13-6 on the season and 5-4 in league play.
Junior Edson Ortiz had Alabama’s lone win, a 6-2, 6-4 decision of No. 87 Adam Walton.
Next up, the Tide (13-8, 6-3 SEC) host No. 2 Florida on Friday at 6 p.m. and No. 18 South Carolina on Sunday at 1 p.m.
