ATHENS, Ga. – The Alabama women’s golf team defeated Daytona State before falling to Denver during Friday’s match play at the Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic. The Crimson Tide will close the competition on Saturday morning with a head-to-head matchup against Iowa in the Black Bracket.

The Tide was led by Kenzie Wright and Angelica Moresco, who both finished with a 2-0 mark in match play. The duo helped lead Alabama to a 4-1 victory against Daytona State to open match play and collected the only two points for UA in a narrow 3-2 decision against Denver.
