Alabama softball pitcher Montana Fouts earned a school-record fourth SEC Freshman of the Week honor, the league office announced Monday.
She is the first UA player to win the award four times. Kayla Braud (2010) and Charlotte Morgan (2007) earned the honor three times.
Fouts was big for Alabama this past weekend in Baton Rouge against LSU. She didn’t give up a run in nine innings, earning a complete-game victory Friday and a two-inning save on Saturday that clinched Alabama’s sixth regular-season SEC championship.
