FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – University of Alabama’s Angelica Moresco finished with a 2-over par 75 in the second round of the 2019 NCAA Women’s Golf Championships Sunday after severe storms forced a suspension of play on Saturday. Moresco stands at 8-over par 154 after two rounds at the Blessings Golf Club, and climbed one spot in a tie for 52nd.
Because of weather, the NCAA tournament committee announced late Saturday that the stroke play portion of the tournament will be shortened from 72 holes to 54 holes. All 24 teams and 12 individuals will compete again Monday. The stroke play portion will culminate with the individual medalist being determined after the 54 holes. The field will then be cut to the top eight teams which advance to the match play quarterfinals on Tuesday.
