Four members of the Alabama soccer team have been named to the 2019 SEC Preseason Watch List, as announced by the league office Tuesday morning. Senior Nealy Martin as well as juniors Chloe Maize, Taylor Morgan and Casey Wertz earned the honor. The four players are among 59 total student athletes from around the league.

Martin has 50 starts in 56 games played. Her most notable goal was the 1-0 game-winner against then ranked No. 5 Texas A&M last season. Wertz enters her junior season as one of the Tide’s top offensive options. In 40 career matches and 28 starts she has 25 points on 12 goals.

Morgan had nine points in her sophomore season, increasing her career total to 16. She has scored five goals and leads the team with six assists in 33 starts out of 39 career games. Maize, a junior forward, has tallied two goals, one assist, and one game-winner in her 25 games played.

Alabama opens the 2019 season Thursday against BYU at 7 p.m. at the Alabama Soccer Stadium.
