BIRMINGHAM – The University of Alabama men’s cross country team were picked to finish second, while the women were chosen to finish seventh in the 2019 Southeastern Conference Cross Country Coaches Preseason Poll, the league office announced Monday.

The United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association preseason regional rankings were also released Monday, and the Crimson Tide checked in at third on the men’s side and tenth on the women’s side of the South Region.

The cross country season beings Saturday as Alabama travels to Memphis, Tennessee, to compete at the Brooks Memphis Twilight Classic.
