BIRMINGHAM – Alabama freshman cross country runner Allison Wilson was named the Southeastern Conference Women’s Freshman of the Week after posting the top finish by a freshman last weekend at the Brooks Memphis Twilight Classic.
Wilson, who finished No. 1 for Alabama in the 5k, placed fourth out of 141 participants with a time of 17:52.68 at the Brooks Memphis Twilight Classic on Aug. 31.
Alabama will be back in action Saturday at the Falcon Classic in Montevallo, Alabama.
