The Alabama women’s golf program will feature a trio of golfers competing in the second annual Augusta National Women’s Amateur (ANWA), April 1-4, 2020 in Augusta, Georgia, as senior Kenzie Wright, incoming freshmen Michaela Morard and Benedetta Moresco all received invitations recently.
Wright was a quarterfinalist at the U.S. Women’s Amateur, falling 2&1 to eventual champion Gabriela Ruffels.
Morard advanced to the Round of 32 at the U.S. Women’s Amateur. The 2020 Alabama commit won both the Alabama State Amateur Championship and the Alabama Girls State Junior.
Moresco won two of her three matches while representing Europe in the 2019 Junior Solheim Cup and punctuated her 2019 season with a six-stroke victory at the 2019 Internazionali d’Italia Femminili U-18.
