LOS CABOS, Mexico – Sophomore Frankie Capan III and freshman Canon Claycomb each carded a 1-under par 70 to lead the Alabama men’s golf team in the opening round of the Cabo Collegiate on Sunday. As a team, the Crimson Tide is in 10th overall with a 4-over 288 on the par 71, 6807-yard Cabo del Sol’s Cove Club course.
Playing in a 15-team field that features 14 teams ranked among the top-50 in the nation, No. 42 Alabama will enter Monday’s second round 10 strokes back of the overall leaders.
