University of Alabama seniors Chandler Dare and Sydney Littlejohn have been selected to the College Sports Information Directors of America Academic All-District 4 team, it was announced Thursday.
The pair represent Alabama among the 12 Division I District 4 honorees, with Littlejohn as one of two pitchers and Dare as one of four outfielders on the district list. Both earned their undergraduate degrees within three years at Alabama and are currently pursuing master’s degrees, Littlejohn in human performance and exercise science and Dare in public relations. Each has a 4.0 grade point average in graduate school and finished with GPA’s above 3.8 as undergraduates.
This marks the second-consecutive Academic All-District nod for both. Littlejohn went on to earn Second Team Academic All-America accolades last season, giving the Crimson Tide at least one Academic All-American every season since 2008.
The all-district honorees advance to the Consider Academic All-America team ballot. National winners will be announced just prior to the start of the Women’s College World Series in June.
