Alabama softball pitcher Alexis Osorio is out indefinitely, UA announced Tuesday afternoon.

The senior pitcher has not been cleared to play and there is no timetable for her return, the school said.

Osorio was struck it the head by a batted ball in the first inning of last Sunday’s game at Auburn and left the contest. She visited a doctor Monday.

The right-handler from Riverside, California, is a two-time All-America selection. She tied an NCAA record two weekends ago when she struck out 21 batters in a Seven-Inning Game, and was named national player of the week as well as earning SEC pitcher-of-the-week honors. That came on the heels of a no-hitter the day before.
