The Alabama softball team will face Washington in the Seattle Super Regional starting Friday at Husky Softball Stadium in Seattle.

The first game of the best-of-three series is set for 8 p.m. CT on Friday and will be televised on ESPNU. The second game is scheduled for Saturday at 6 p.m. CT and will be televised on ESPN2. The third game, if necessary, will be played Sunday at 6 p.m. CT and will be televised on ESPNU.

The series winner will advance to the Women’s College World Series next week in Oklahoma City.

Alabama (36-18) is playing in the super regional round of the NCAA Tournament for the 14th straight season. The Crimson Tide is the only program to advance to the super regional round in every year since that format was adopted.

The No. 12 seed in the NCAA Tournament, Alabama defeated Oregon State 6-0 on Sunday in the championship game of the Tuscaloosa Regional. Alabama also defeated Wisconsin, 9-1, and Middle Tennessee State, 8-0, in regional play.

Washington (47-8) is the No. 5 seed and won the Seattle Regional to advance. The Huskies defeated Minnesota in the final and also beat Texas and Boise State in regional play.

Alabama and Washington played twice in early March in Seattle, with Washington winning both games. Alabama lost 8-0 and 4-1. The Crimson Tide has won eight of its last nine games.
