The Alabama softball team needs to win twice on the road against LSU this weekend to clinch its sixth regular-season Southeastern Conference championship.

The Crimson Tide could have clinched it this past weekend with a sweep of Kentucky. Instead, Kentucky took the series 2-1.

It was the second time this season Alabama has lost an SEC series. Alabama lost two games to South Carolina in Columbia, in early April.

Alabama (47-6, 15-6 SEC) would clinch a share of the SEC title with LSU (40-12, 14-7) with one win this weekend against the Tigers.
