Markail Benton was the lone linebacker in Alabama’s Dime package when it went to 7-on-7 periods in Wednesday’s practice. Shane Lee and Christian Harris also got reps in pass packages, but with the starting Dime group, Benton was the choice.

Kendall Randolph has been getting some reps at right guard. He was originally an offensive linemen given a hybrid tight end role, like the one Brandon Greene occupied in 2014. He has been most often used as a tight end in recent games, but there is still a path to offensive line playing time for him.

– The defensive line and outside linebackers paired up for some pass rush work in a drill, and the first line up featured Raekwon Davis and Christian Barmore as the defensive linemen with Terrell Lewis and Anfernee Jennings around them. A later unit had Tevita Musika and Justin Eboigbe as the defensive linemen with Jarez Parks and Ben Davis around them.
