Alabama’s last trip to Columbia, to face South Carolina resulted in a 35-21 Crimson Tide loss. UA coach Nick Saban was asked about that game Monday and and what he remembers from that day.

“What I remember from it was we got the lining kicked out of our britches. I don’t know if you know what that means, but it means you got your butt kicked so bad you’ve got no seam in the back of your pants. I remember that.

“I know this is a tough place to play and we have a lot of respect for the team that we are playing. I think the players on our team need to have the proper respect in terms of what they need to do to prepare to play a good team like this.”
