Alabama adds in-state commitment Tim Kennan for 2020 recruiting class
The University of Alabama added its 20th commitment to its 2021 football recruiting class as defensive tackle Tim Kennan of Birmingham’s Ramsay High School announced via social media that he would sign with the Crimson Tide in December.
Keenan, a massive 6-foot-2 and 340 pounds, is rated a four-star prospect by Rivals and is a three-star prospect in the 247 Sports Composite rankings. Because of his size and upside potential, he attracted a strong offer list including Georgia, Georgia Tech and LSU as well as hometown consideration UAB.
He is the fourth in-state commitment in the 2021 class joining Prattville inside linebacker Ian Jackson, Montgomery defensive tackle Anquin Barnes and Mobile linebacker Deontae Lawson.
UA continues to recruit the state’s most high-profile prospect, defensive back Ga’Quincy “Kool-Aid” McKinstry, who has the Crimson Tide among his final three schools.
Keenan has drawn comparisons to former Alabama and current New York Jet defensive lineman Quinnen Williams, who is also from Birmingham.
He recorded 43 tackles, 21 tackles for loss, eight sacks, three forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery as a junior.
