Buffalo Exchange, a secondhand retailer that's operated on Elliston Place since 2016, is moving to a new location — but they're not leaving the Rock Block. On May 21, the store will reopen across the street at 2214 Elliston Pl. in the former William Edge salon space.

"We love being on the Rock Block, so we’re really happy that we were able to find a spot that’s just a two-minute walk from our current store," Buffalo Exchange Vice President Rebecca Block said in a press release. "We're excited to create new memories in a larger space with more room for unique inventory pieces."

The Rock Block, an epicenter for Nashville's oft-overlooked rock scene, has seen major changes and developments in recent years. Since April, the owners of historic rock club Exit/In have waged a public campaign to preserve ownership of the music venue as it's been targeted for purchase by a real estate development firm.

But some old favorites have already proven resilient: In May, Elliston Place Soda Shop began its 82nd year in business at a new location, also just across the street from its longtime home.
