What a deadly 100-vehicle accident in Fort Worth and a 26-car pileup in Austin looks like

A 26-vehicle pileup in Austin sent five people to the hospital Thursday, Austin-Travis County EMS medics said. The accident occurred on Texas 45. 

The incident followed another major crash in Fort Worth Thursday morning. In an update Thursday afternoon, the Fort Worth fire department shared that at least 100 vehicles were involved, leading to 5 fatalities, and 36 people being taken to local hospitals.

During an afternoon press conference, Fort Worth Police Chief Neil Noakes specified that 133 vehicles were involved in the crash.
