See LSU quarterback Joe Burrow wear 'Burreaux' jersey during Texas A&M football pregame
Burrow wore a jersey with his last name adapted to Burreaux, a Cajunification of his surname.
When Burrow turned around during Saturday's Senior Day ceremony, he pointed at the last name with both thumbs above his No. 9, and the crowd roared at Tiger Stadium.
Joe Burrow is a native of Athens, Ohio. He played his first three seasons at Ohio State from 2015-17, but he's adapted well to Louisiana since joining LSU in 2018.
LSU fans have embraced Burrow as well.
His embrace showed when he came through the tunnel at Tiger Stadium to loud applause Saturday evening in Baton Rouge.
LSU defeated Texas A&M 50-7. The Tigers improve to 12-0 overall and 8-0 in the SEC.
