Alabama, Auburn football: Lee Corso makes headgear pick on ESPN College GameDay
This is the 16th time that "College GameDay" has been broadcast from Tuscaloosa. It is the show's eighth time at an Alabama, Auburn football game.
The show is hosted by Alabama graduate Rece Davis, and in addition to Corso, it includes analysts Kirk Herbstreit, Desmond Howard and David Pollack.
Who did Lee Corso pick to win today?
Lee Corso picked Alabama.
In Corso's previous five times picking the Iron Bowl with his headgear pick, he chose Alabama all five times, and the Crimson Tide went 3-2 in those games, according to ESPN.
Before this pick, Corso had picked against Auburn on 10 consecutive opportunities with his headgear pick. The last time he picked Auburn was Sept. 18, 2010.
It was a consensus as Kirk Herbstreit, Desmond Howard, David Pollack and celebrity guest picker Joe Namath all picked Alabama to beat Auburn.
"The first thing I learned down at Alabama from coach Paul 'Bear' Bryant is that we don't get beat. We might lose, but nobody beats us," Namath said. "We'll get out there and fight. We're going to be ready today, and we're going to win the game."
