The Alabama men’s basketball team is ranked in the Ferris Mowers USA Today Coaches Top 25 for the first time since the preseason, coming in at No. 24 in the latest poll announced on Monday. The Crimson Tide was tied with the St. Louis Billikens at the No. 24 spot.

Alabama (9-3) was No. 25 in the preseason USA Today poll. The Crimson Tide has won five consecutive games heading into a Tuesday night game at unranked Kentucky. Alabama has not won a game at Rupp Arena, the home of the Wildcats, since 2006. Tuesday’s game will be available on ESPN with Karl Ravech (play-by-play) and Dick Vitale (analyst) on the call.

The Crimson Tide narrowly missed making the Associated Press Top 25, finishing highest of the teams listed as “also receiving votes” with 173 points. That put Alabama eight points behind No. 25 Connecticut. The only two Southeastern Conference teams in this week’s AP poll are No. 10 Tennessee and No. 17 Missouri.
